Corporate history

The enthusiasm for the material carbon and the desire to implement own professionally creative ideas led to the founding of the company in Landsberg am Lech in 2006.

The company founder, David Wacker, has acquired extensive experience as an aircraft technician throughout his career with well-known companies in the aerospace industry. Extra Flugzeugbau GmbH, Fairchild Dornier, EADS, Airbus, Premium Aerotec, DLR (Augsburg).

Already in the first years various projects were realized – these ranged from the repair of sailing boats to the production of ultralight aircraft.

As the premises were getting smaller and smaller from time to time, in 2015 CarbonWacker moved to its newly built 1,000 m² production hall with several offices in Hurlach near Landsberg am Lech.

Through the ongoing research and development, our own work processes are being further optimized with the help of the latest plastics processing techniques.

Today, CarbonWacker convinces its customers with high quality and specially designed lightweight construction.

Current projects

Next to small-scale projects, electric-powered ultra-light solar aircraft will also be built at the CarbonWacker plant, such as the Elektra One Solar and Elektra Two Solar.

The Elektra Two Solar will fly into the stratosphere for the first time as a record prototype under the name SolarStratos of the Swiss company SolarXplorers. The record flight is scheduled for 2019.
